WHEN! 5 days a week for summer 7am till 4pm... thursday till monday (monday we close a little early 2pm)

Get to know Stuart and Rachel they have been welcoming visitors to the store for the past 5 winter seasons, and this summer we want to welcome you. Providing honest food, great flavours and service. They also provide a wealth of local knowledge and general information, plus good old fashioned customer service.

 

Old Fashioned service with a smile, a ‘Can Do’ attitude, and the ability to pre-empt your every need and desire.

 

We will go to every length to ensure that you have a great experience dining with us. Whether it is drawing pencils for the kids, honey with your tea, or chilli with your eggs. We aim to please.

 

With the tranquil sounds of the water, the delightful warmth of the sun on the lounges you will easily forget about the troubles of the world and never want to leave.

 

Make an afternoon of it and get the kids to the park. We haven’t forgotten the parents, with take away coffee to help you along the way, or a cool refreshing drink for when you get there.

 

Perhaps your reason for visiting us is by finding your way down the many mountain bike trails, which lead to the base of Mt Buller, for a rest and a spot of lunch.

To make it even easier on Saturdays and Sundays (starting Boxing Day) we offer a shuttle service to take you back up to the top of the mountain. Could we make it any easier for you?

 

If mountain bike riding isn’t your thing there is a large variety of walking trails in the area, or find your way through the ruins of the old sawmill settlement.

 

Still not enough reason to visit… try catching a trout in the pond at Mirimbah Park, forgotten your fishing rod… Don’t worry we have you covered. 

 

If fishing isn’t your thing you could take a quick dip to cool off from the summer heat, and enjoy some homemade ice cream as a treat.

 

Or you could simply spend a cool afternoon sitting on the pebbles in the river reading a book; we have a great range of second hand books to choose from.

 

After such a relaxing afternoon, who wants to cook dinner so why not take home some of Stu’s fresh bread, pasta and dessert home for dinner. Does that not sound like the perfect day out? All the family will be happy.

 

After years eating expensive tasteless meals, we decided to take our menu back to the basics. Food cooked from scratch going back to the simple basic formula. Using good quality fresh ingredients, creating the base and building each meal to be a simple taste sensation.

 

This summer we have combined the best of the old with a few new delights additions. If you love food as much as we do, and really miss good flavours, and presentation, then you have to visit the store.
